Our followers know that we rarely collaborate with other brands, but it still happens.
One of the exceptions is our lovely acquaintance with Simona. A like-minded jeweler, a creator of unique jewelry. Her sense and perception of aesthetics being close to ours, was the reason of our paths crossing.
Several pieces from Simona’s newest collection were specifically chosen for 7th egzotique’s birthday trip to the sea side and worn with wedding outfits.
Simona uses only sea pearls, which are more valued in jewelry than freshwater pearls. They are of higher quality, beautiful shapes, shiny, have smoother surface and are more difficult to extract. Grown in Tahiti, Japan, around Australia and Indonesia. Also, 18-karat gold, white gold, silver and diamonds are used.
Inspiration. “Nature is my main aspect of inspiration. Also, a quiet space where I can be with myself and my thoughts. I relax while being outside the city, getting away from all the hustle and constant running. Ideas accumulate in my head. Once returned to the city, I urge to implement them. I am also inspired by the material I work with. There is always a feeling of great responsibility when working with precious metals or gemstones. Metal, color, stone or pearl shape also dictates collections. ”
Why jewelry? “I always thought that I have chosen the jewelry myself, but the further I go, the more often I think that it was the craft itself that had chosen me and it came little by little, in small stages. I came from a family that has been involved in floristics and floriculture for a very long time, so aesthetics and beauty of nature have accompanied me since I was a child.
Every day I saw how much work is put into the nurturing of a family business. During adolescence, I have discovered and seen even more while working as a model. Modeling helped me to see the whole fashion kitchen from the inside and what are the most popular trends. Then I studied art history and theory at the university, and after a few more years of wandering around the world, I returned to Vilnius and the next day I was already working as an assistant in a jeweler’s workshop. ”
The most interesting projects. “These are my collections, and the new one will be out this month.”
